Puma AG is the world’s third-biggest sporting goods company. It was founded many, many years ago by Rudolf Dassler after a major falling-out with his brother, Adi Dassler, the dude who founded Adidas.
Ah, Puma … i love Puma. My first football boots were made by Puma; I can’t remember which model though. Then, very much later, I got myself the Puma King. Of late I’ve been thinking a lot about the semicolon. Yes, semicolon the punctuation mark (a.k.a the “dot comma” or “comma dot” to some friends of mine).
I’m learning how to use it properly because it’s so sexy.
Code jockeys might disagree. In fact, they might just be sick of the semicolon as it is used to end most commands in C and C++.
This is my first posting to this blog in the brand new year, 2007.
I’ve been quietly saving money throughout 2006 for something; but it’s now no longer required. Maybe I’ll spend it on a Mitsubishi Evo 8 or something of that ilk.
